MCS Insulation attended the Spray Polyurethane Foam Alliance (SPFA) 2018 Convention & Expo from January 29 through February 1 in Mobile, ALA.

At the SPFA Conference, team members from MCS Insulation had the opportunity to sit in on pertinent educational seminars at the conference to make themselves more knowledgeable to their customers and their industry.

Additionally, attendees had the opportunity to participate in field exams, exam prep courses, applicator trainings, and written exams for the professional certification program. They could also participate in the golf tournament at the Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail.

“One of the classes I sat in was on energy modeling…we learned about state-of-the-art methods to optimize thermal insulation and air barrier systems,” said Jessica Breazeale, MCS Insulation employee and convention attendee.

On Wednesday night of the convention, SPFA presented the Industry Excellence Awards Luncheon as part of the Spray Foam Show 2018 Convention & Expo. There were awards in several categories for projects that demonstrated excellence in the industry. A panel of industry experts adjudicated the selection process through a blind judging process. Judges did not know to whom each of the entries belong, therefore the judging was solely based on the merit of the project according to award guidelines.

MCS Insulation was proud to have been named a finalist in the “Residential Wall Foam” Category for the Jeff Martin of Reed Lane in Covington, LA project.

The conference is a growing event with approximately 7,500 in attendance this year. There were 32 breakout sessions and 98 exhibitors as well. The spray foam industry is definitely growing. Spray Polyurethane Foam (SPF) Market share is set to reach USD 2.5 billion by 2024; according to a new research report by Global Market Insights, Inc.
